Healthy Beauty With DIY Natural Products


When it comes to cosmetics we are all very attracted by the beautiful packaging, great smell or inventive jar shapes and we throw ourselves over pricey products without even bothering to read the ingredients on those labels. And there we are, at home in our bathroom piling up the little cabinet yet with another nice jar of cream that actually does not work on your skin! Sounds familiar? So, instead of wasting money, time and causing health damages with those over-the-counter cosmetics how about try to make your own cream that fits your skin type better yet with ingredients from your pantry! Here are three recipes for a DIY, organic beauty products that can be made easily at home by anyone and they are parabens and chemicals free.

1. Body Scrub
1/2 cup epsom salt;
2 tbs. coconut oil;
3 drops mint oil.
Mix well the first 2 ingredients until get a paste and then add the third one and mix a little bit longer. Store the paste into an airtight container. Use it in the shower by applying a small amount over your body with a loofah to get maximum result. Benefits: skin gets scrubbed due to the epsom salt, hydrated due to the coconut oil and invigorated due to the mint oil. Best time to use it: morning showers for an uplifting effect.

2. Hair Conditioner with only 2 ingredients:
1/2 avocado;
1 tbs. coconut oil.
Mix well the two ingredients into a glass bowl. Apply on dry hair before shower. Cover hair with a plastic shower cap for 20 minutes. Wash your hair as usual with your shampoo and do not apply any conditioner. Hair will become silky with a healthy body texture. For better results apply this hair mask every week. For even better results use an organic shampoo without harsh chemicals.

3. Foot Balm
3 tbs.coconut oil;
1 tbs. shea butter;
10 drops tea tree essential oil.
Mix the first two ingredients over low heat until melted then add the tea tree oil and stir.Store in an airtight container. Massage feet with this moisturizer focusing on dry and cracked areas and use soft socks to cover your feet immediately.Store cream in refrigerator. Use 2-3 times/week for incredible soft and relaxed feet. The bonus is the tea tree oil that has antifungal benefits besides the deep moisturizing from coconut oil and shea butter mixture.
